Schools Programme
GSM Leisure, together with each of the clubs we work with, pride ourselves
on being able to offer quality tennis lessons to as many children as
possible.
Often a child’s first experience of the game is when we visit their school
to provide curriculum or after school coaching courses. After this initial
set of lessons, information is given out to each child detailing how they
can continue to play at their local club.
Working with the LTA, we encourage teachers to attend the Tennis Coaching
Workshop to allow them to continue to provide tennis lessons within the
school.
Throughout the year we organise a Mini Red Primary Schools League, played
indoors, for children in years 4 or below. This year (2007) 21 Teams took
part with Grace Dieu winning the league. Many
of the schools we work with have become members of the BSTA
(British Schools Tennis Association) established a base of players within
the school, they are then able to enter teams into the National Schools
Competition and the Aberdare and Glanville Cup.
Listed below are the schools that we currently work with. If your school is
not listed below please contact us to find out
about GSM Leisure providing curriculum time tennis lessons at your school.
